The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of characters who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the actions of the third episode show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
First, the group understands precisely where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the group access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to form the Seekers and Planners parties.
Viewers can look forward to finding out which players will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
